At their Annual General Meeting on January 15, 2020 the Peterborough Agricultural Society elected a new Board of Directors.
The new Board was elected as follows:
President – Victoria McEldon
Vice President – Viren D’Souza
2nd Vice – Sandra Busby
Junior Member – Chloe Shaw
Outgoing President Ryan Moore was recognized for his contributions to the Ag Society and the ongoing success of the Peterborough Ex.
“Ryan worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help create long-term sustainability of the Ex. His determination and dedication over the last decade to the Ag society has been admired by many members of the agricultural community. Now, entering our 175th year, we will miss his contributions but are excited to continue to grow this long standing tradition,” stated new President Victoria McEldon.
McEldon has been a Director on the Board for 7 years and has served in various roles including the Second Vice Chair of the Board, Junior Market Lamb sale, Sheep and Beef Show committee. Her commitment to agriculture stretches from her professional life as a Veterinary Technician to her personal commitments as a 4H leader and keeping her own cattle.
McEldon, “We have an exciting year ahead of us and I am honoured to be serving in this role. We have an experienced Board and plans are well under way to make our 175th year a year to remember.”
This year marks the 175th Anniversary of the Peterborough Ex which is organized by the Agricultural Society.
